MEET THE ARTIST...

Bits and pieces of formal study, years of absorbing the old masters' works in museums and books, devouring new artists' works in exhibitions, books and workshops are my education and the foundation as an artist. I enjoy painting in Pastel and watercolor. The scene or experience dictates to me the medium I choose. Sometimes the way I apply the paint varies because I enjoy experimenting. If there is a common theme in my work it is tranquility. Life for me seems less than tranquil so I am drawn to reproducing it in my paintings. Art is a need I have to listen to and answer.
